Will Insulmax^® fall out if I renovate?

NO – Insulmax^® wall insulation is packed into the wall cavity and is about 50% denser than conventional fiberglass products. The packing of the product means that it is able to support its own weight, so that if small renovations are required in the future, like changing weatherboards etc., Insulmax^® will not fall out.

The below photos show Insulmax^® in place after several weatherboards have been removed during renovation. It is advisable to remove a board and replace and move onto the next board. If the area has to be exposed for longer periods, it’s advisable to protect the insulation and your internal wall structure by temporarily covering the area
